Undergraduate Program Information
Southern Studies is an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the diverse constellation of topics and ideas relating to the American South.
The Minor in Southern Studies provides undergraduate students the opportunity to explore the region from historical, cultural, geographical, literary, political, and artistic perspectives, among others.
Students gain knowledge and experience in critical thinking, writing, and reading, along with increased cultural awareness, through exposure to the many academic fields that anchor the study of the South.
